How it works
Pack boxes, generate QR labels, then scan any label later. The QR contains its own box details, so no original computer, login, or cloud lookup is needed.
Private by default
Your full move inventory stays in this browser. MoveBox does not upload your complete box inventory to a US Life Toolkit database. Aggregate website traffic may be measured using Cloudflare Web Analytics.
QR label privacy
A QR label contains the box details encoded when the QR was generated. Anyone who can scan the label can read those encoded details. Avoid putting sensitive information in QR labels; use general descriptions such as “Documents.”
QR labels are snapshots
If you change a box after generating its QR code, refresh the QR and print a new label.

What happens when I scan a label?
The QR code opens a MoveBox page containing the box details encoded when the QR was generated. No account or cloud inventory lookup is required.
Does scanning require the original device?
No. The encoded box details are contained in the QR label itself.
Does MoveBox upload my full inventory?
No. Your full move inventory stays in your browser. A QR label contains only the box details included when that QR was generated.
What if I edit a box after generating its QR?
The existing QR is a snapshot. MoveBox will mark it as “QR needs refresh.” Generate a new QR and print a new label.
Can anyone scan my label?
Yes. Anyone who can access the physical QR label can read the encoded box details. Avoid putting sensitive information in a QR label.
What happens if I clear browser data?
Local move data is removed. Export a movebox-backup.json file first so you can import it later.
How do I move my full inventory to another device?
Use Export on this device, then Import the backup file on the other device. The backup replaces its current MoveBox data.
Can I print labels?
Yes. Print one label from a box card or print all boxes as four labels per US Letter page. Your browser can also save the print view as a PDF.
